Welcome to Springs Farm. We’re really looking forward to having you visit. Please take a moment to read the following information before booking and attending a farm tour:
A Working Farm Environment
Our farm is a real, working farm. This means you may encounter
- Livestock (including cattle, calves, sheep, lambs, pigs, and goats)
- Uneven ground, mud, and slippery surfaces
- Electric fencing
- Moving vehicles and machinery
- Outdoor weather conditions
While we take all reasonable steps to ensure your safety, these environments naturally carry some risk.
Responsibility & Supervision
- Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult
- Parents/guardians remain responsible for the behaviour and safety of children in their care
- Visitors must follow all instructions given by staff at all times
During the Tour
For everyone’s safety:
- Please remain seated on the trailer unless instructed otherwise
- Do not approach or feed animals unless invited to do so
- Keep a safe distance from livestock and equipment
- Follow all guidance from farm staff
We reserve the right to stop the tour or ask individuals to leave if behaviour is unsafe.
Clothing & Footwear
Please wear:
- Sturdy, closed-toe footwear (boots or wellies are ideal, especially in wet weather)
- Weather-appropriate clothing
Hygiene & Biosecurity
- Handwashing facilities will be available
- Please use them after animal contact and before eating
- Please ensure children do not touch their faces during/after animal contact until they have washed hands
- Please do not attend if you are, or could be pregnant
- Do not attend if you have been in contact with notifiable livestock diseases
- We require everyone to step in our footbath (it only dips the soles of shoes – don’t worry)
Accessibility
We aim to make our tours as accessible as possible, including use of our passenger trailer.
If you have specific access requirements, please contact us before booking so we can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Dogs
As we are a working farm, we cannot allow dogs on the tour (except for service dogs by prior arrangement). Our cafe and tea garden are dog friendly.
Health & Medical Conditions
Please inform us in advance if you or a member of your group has:
- Allergies (especially animal or hay-related)
- Mobility concerns
- Any condition that may affect participation
- Again PLEASE do not book if you think you may be pregnant
Tickets are non-refundable
